Abriendo Mentes: Enhance.Educate.Empower.

Abriendo Mentes is a community development initiative that empowers rural Costa Rican communities by providing educational, technological and social programs to those who need it most.

We offer a range of innovative programs to the children and adults of Playa Potrero, Costa Rica: classes in ESL and computer literacy, extra-curricular activities, and environmental awareness projects; in an effort to enhance education and "open minds".

The ultimate goal of Abriendo Mentes is to equip each community member with the knowledge and resources needed to achieve a better standard of living and promote economic stability.
